"Tom and I left the parking area at 10:08 am under cloudy skies @ 23 °. The short road leading to the locked gate was unplowed and covered in about 8" of fresh powder. The road leading to the public parking area had not been plowed so far this season.
. We managed to make an area for my SUV. An hour 20 mins later we summited . Shortly after, another couple and dog from Plattsburg joined us. The trip down after having broke the trail up only took 36 mins." — garyogden • Dec 7, 2024

"Hiked with brother Dean this morning. This is his first hike since getting his new knee. Trail was dry and in good shape. We took our time and enjoyed the beautiful and crisp fall morning. There was no view from the summit, but a great view of Brant Lake was enjoyed just shy of the true summit. We had the trail all to ourselves . Returned to the car at 10:03." — garyogden • Oct 8, 2024
"My third hike of the day. An even longer drive from Cathedral Rock to here. Short hike that was really steep and bouldery at the end. Being my third hike, my legs were feeling it. Excellent directional view from the summit overlooking the lake. " — newenglandwarrior • Sep 18, 2024

"Introduced the Delguercio boys to the Adirondacks and get their feet wet. A beautiful day and bluebird skies with no humidity. A wonderful surprise to see Nat Ski and Stevens at the summit, too too long friends. What a wonderful day!" — scottturner • Jul 20, 2024

"Walked up solo on a visit to Jen’s in laws camp on a bright sunny morning! Nice well-traveled trail. Lots of people heading up on my way down. Beautiful views of Blue Mountain Lake. " — lfrancois • Jul 20, 2024
