"Came up via Ore Gap after completing Esk Pike. The clag unfortunately returned just as I reached the top but thankfully cleared as I came off the very top so I got the views. This crossed off my ninth of the ten highest summits in England (using the Hewitt list). Just have Great Gable left to do. Headed back down to Old Dungeon Ghyll after this summit. "From Stool End, ascending by the Band and Climbers' Traverse to scramble via Flat Crags to the summit. Then a traverse over Esk Pike via Ore Gap and Rossett Pike, then back into Langdale. With IB, on a mild day of milky sunshine." — marktrengove2 • Mar 25, 1999
