"I started at 8 Am and this was quite a nice and easy hike. I climbed up the bear canyon trail which was kind of boring except for the litttl forest at the junction and wilderness boundary. Then I climbed up this trail to the Bear Ridge trail, which provided better views and windy areas. Then I climbed the summit of Bear Ridge, which had the best views and then I headed to 4 Corners. Th en I climbed up the Sitton Peak Truck Trail and I curved past a saddle and some nice views , then I climbed back down and then climbed back up past the plane wreck and tank and then climbed up the steep trail to summit of Sittton Peak, nice views, a register tin, and some sings were up here, and then I headed out onto some rocks for solitude and nice views." — lc444 • Feb 22, 2025
"I decided to begin the year with a two peaks in different areas and different weather conditions. I got up early and drove from Oceanside to the Nordic Base to summit Mount Pinos. Temps at my car a 0630 were right around 10 degrees. I quickly completed my summit, got in my car and headed back down south to Sitton Peak. Made it there just before noon. Temps at the trailhead were right around 75 degrees. I made the summit in no time and decided to complete the hike by tackling Bear Ridge. What a great start to the year." — Philip-Yoho • Jan 1, 2019
