"This was our second time coming to Charleston Lake. The first time we went as far as the Bay Bridge (Westside Trail) had lunch and returned. This time we did the entire 10km loop that took us to Tallow Rock. The White Hills make up the bulk of the area on the Northern side of Charleston Lake, the Tallow Rock Bay loop. On route to Tallow Rock Bay, just south of the beaver pond, is the high point of the White Hills. A slight bushwhack off trail is needed if you want to summit the hill. The whole area of Charleston Lake is beautiful. I highly recommend the area for hikers, whether you want to bag peaks or not." — HikingViking • Oct 12, 2013
