"Started from the trailhead at the top of Harris Springs Rd. Went up the ridge line toward Harris Mt, stopping at South Harris (aka BBK) on the way and then going over to Mally Peak after Harris Mt. Part of the descent route, the section down to the Harris/Griffith trail, is steep but saves going up and down on the ridge line back to the trailhead. Also, you get to hike the trail with great views of Lovell Canyon. " — Heartattackbruce • Sep 27, 2022
"This is more of a conditions report than a trip report. South-facing, and even some north-facing routes to big peaks in Kyle Canyon look mostly snow-free. I took the ridge up, which is largely free of brush since the 2013 fire. The road is navigable by careful driving and a car with more that 7" clearance AND a good spare tire. The worst issue with the road is that the upper portion has just a few turnouts in the switchbacks; it would be extremely hard to pass another car.
I first went up Harris almost 20 years ago." — hwstock • May 6, 2022
"I have gone to Harris Mt a few different ways and have been looking for the most scenic, enjoyable route. This peak is on the south ridge line that leads back to the Harris Mt Road trail head. Many people have talked about this ridge line not being a favorable route, but I found it to be one of the best so far. Kasha and Bing, who were there to name the peak, would agree.
