"We took the route used by Golden Scrambles up. The snow was pretty good. I was knackered when I got to the top. We took the Kane route down. The first part of the descent was kinda of sketchy and I slid 5m on downfacing slab with 2 inches of scree. This was followed by some steep snow. I was slow here. Once the grade eased and the terrain got easier I was moving down much faster. Seemed like a lot of uphill to get back the car." — BertB • Jun 2, 2018
"Took south ridge approach. When we got to the side hill traverse we encountered a slab with lots of loose rocks and a small wet section. So we back tracked to the ridge. There was another party of two we told them where we went and the troubles we had. After some discussion they chose a route that they would try they were successful but it also looked difficult with lots of loose rock on the steep slope. We decided just to go to the high point of the ridge and have some lunch and take in some views." — Randy • Jun 4, 2017
"Great route selection for this time of year.
We kick-stepped on the increasingly steep slope in SW-W drainage almost to the summit ridge. For descent, we glissaded back to the trail through S-SW drainage (standard Kane descent gully). This route will most likely be nasty once the snow gone." — Taras • Jun 3, 2017
