"Two of my brothers and I hiked Ajo. We didn't get started until around 11:30. Most of the hike was comfortable, but it was pretty windy and cold on the summit, so we didn't get to enjoy the summit as much. The views were limited with the cloud cover, but we could see Baboquivari, Gu Achi, Tabletop, and Woolsey Peak, and possibly Harquahala. The hike and the whole area is beautiful." — ZachTeich • Dec 27, 2021
"Late start on a Sunday. Clouds, solitude and the proximity to the border created a somewhat strange atmosphere.
The hike is diverse, fun and the trail after Bulls Pasture a lot better than anticipated, apart from the nasty scree part up the side canyon.
Went up Estes Canyon and down Bulls Pasture trail to make a loop on part of the hike." — Gabsolute • Dec 10, 2017
"Tagged after Kino as the second half of a 21 mile day. Started bonking from the heat going up the steep chute to the summit ridgeline, wound up finishing in the dark and didn't get back to Phoenix until 11PM.

"Late start in the day, tons of clouds looming and obscuring the peak. Doug and I hiked it, saw very few people on the trail. Peak cleared of clouds for only about half an hour - right before we got there - then covered back up with clouds right after we started heading down. Lost our trail for awhile on the way down, ended up coming back just at sundown because of the half hour delay. Really beautiful cacti, rock, and scenery." — Brenda • Mar 1, 2014
"Visiting Organ Pipe from Vegas. This peak, being the highpoint of the park was on my list of things to do while here. It was a good hike up to the summit. Too bad the weather wasn't a bit better. The views were great from up here!" — Kevin • Dec 30, 2012
