"After stops at Gray Knob Cabin and The Quay (lookout pt.), I briefly left Lowe's Path to stand on the top of this one on the way to summiting Mt. Adams. It was a beautiful bluebird day with a 5mph breeze." — SteveM_StickMan • Sep 21, 2020
"Beginning of another Presidential Traverse attempt. The hike began 2 hours later than scheduled and Watson Path was far steeper than anticipated which greatly slowed our pace. Slow pace, low ambient temperature, and increasing winds stopped our traverse attempt at Mt. Adams. We descended via Lowe's Path and climbed over Mt. Abigail Adams (Adams IV). The subpeak rises suddenly above the alpine garden." — JCalautti • Aug 28, 2020
"Ended up there instead of Mt Adams. Got lost during the night because of a snow storm and a frozen headlamp. I tried to change the batteries but I couldn't because my fingers were frozen and didn't have enough dexterity. I had to dig a hole in the snow to spend the night and wait for the sunrise. Temperature was -20 degree F. When the daylight finally arrived I thought I was safe but it got even worst. The wind was blowing at 90 MPH, I kept being projected on the rocks and on the ground. I had to crawl until I reached the protection of the treeline. All my clothes got teared and I got bruises everywhere. It took 2 months for my frozen fingers and face to fully recover.
Stay safe." — VinceB • Jan 24, 2014
