"10.28.22~(Hoover Peak) Hoover Dam & Bridge Peak, Overlook & Pointe w/Laszlo. 4 miles, 1,400’ gain. This scenic ridge is parallel and to the North of Gold strike Canyon & South of the restricted access rd kayak touring companies use to drop off river runners. We started at the GS hot springs TH. It has some of the best views, is under appreciated & rarely visited. The ridge is an exciting traverse ending at a pointe with a giant cairn & creepy exposed drop off. You can’t see it from the HP so keep heading east on the ridge until you arrive. " — paula.raimondi • Oct 28, 2022
"12.15.21~6.5 miles, 2,800’ gain in 4:07hrs (including :30min hot spring soak) I jogged & scrambled to the river, soaked in the hot springs and finished off with climbing a few of my fav peaks with the best view of the dam & bridge. After yesterday’s rainstorm, Goldstrike Canyon was alive with running streams and waterfalls. I had the place all to myself which is very rare…peaceful. https://youtube.com/shorts/xeYbW1dsNyI?feature=share

"11.27.2021~Date trek with My Husband Jimmy. Hoover Peak, Hoover Dam & Bridge Point (the lower yet more thrilling lump to the East, most never venture out to) and 1,862’~ 5 miles, 1,700’ gain in 3:04hrs. We enjoyed a leftover Thanksgiving Sammie & Pumpkin pie on the Summit. On the descent we took an old trail that goes south down a pretty canyon and joins the main Goldstrike Canyon trail, for a more intuitive return trek. Beautiful Dam morning. One of the best Dam views I’ve ever seen. Dam good workout.

"12.29.2020~Hoover Peak/Overlook & Point (tall cairn dead end) Traverse & Peak 1,862 (PauLász) with Laszlo. 4.5 miles, 2,100’ gain. Laszlo visits this spectacular peak often and considers it one of the best in the area and I agree. I appreciated the tour. It has the best views of the Dam and Bypass Bridge. It also has a rollercoaster traverse to 2 lower lumps (to the East) with exciting exposure. The end point has a tall cairn and the best views of the River. We were graced by a wolf sized coyote walking along a distant ridge. The expansive views of Black Canyon were divine. " — paula.raimondi • Dec 29, 2020
"Wow! What an awesome view! This is definitely the best place to view the Hoover Dam & the bypass bridge! Took a sketchy route straight up the ridge from the Gold Strike Canyon trailhead. Once up there, it was an easy traverse, until I had to descend back down to the wash between that ridge and back up to Point 1900 (Hoover Dam-Bridge Peak, as it was recently named in the summit register). To descend, I followed the Western Ridge back down to the wash, headed south to Gold Strike Canyon, then followed that back to the trailhead. Short hike, but fun. Saw a lone bighorn near the summit. Note - there is also a point about 500 feet or so east of the summit with a large cairn, a summit register and even BETTER views (you'll go over another 'hump' with a reference mark along the way there)" — Kevin • Feb 16, 2015
