"My first trip out in a while, belatedly trying to get in some conditioning before another trip up Rainier in a month. Picked this one as I didn't want to deal with any snow or holiday weekend crowds. The trail is in great shape past the Dry Creek (not this time of year) ford, despite not being maintained in quite a while. Headed due north from Dry Creek Pass, following a faint-but-reliable way trail. Had to tie up Jed the peak-bagging pooch just short of the summit, as the summit ridge gets just narrow enough that he was attempting to go downslope and around, to certain doom. Roughly 13-14 miles from the Dry Creek trailhead to the top and back, took 7 hours with a lunch break." — TynanRammGranberg • May 27, 2019
