"The summits of both Penobscot and Sargent are magical for different reasons. Penobscot has beautiful views of the Atlantic and pools of water that grows well-known water lilies. Sargent has pink granite and various cairns built to mark the trail. Sargent also has a pond along the trail if you want to cool off. " — CAnn • Aug 6, 2021

Started north of Upper Hadlock Pond, ascended along stream on Maple Spring trail, took South Slope trail to Cedar Swamp, returned via mostly carriage road" — Gregrog • Sep 19, 2020
