"Began the hike at Big Pines and took the Blue Ridge Trail to Blue Ridge Campground. Went left from there underneath the ski lifts to the top of the lift. The route passes a reservoir before climbing Frost Benchmark. I had no luck finding the actual benchmark but it is supposed to be up there somewhere in the weeds." — MikeTeeples • Jun 25, 2023
"Blue Ridge's summit was the first of two I visited on this day. Blue Ridge's summit is a mellow hike up PCT or Blue Ridge Road. I hiked on portions of both, then after passing the second reservoir, I took the scarcely used use road to the communication towers at the top. I did not succeed at finding the survey marker, which is my custom upon reaching the top. It seems that other Peakery users have found the elusive benchmark. My second summit was Wright Mountain, a few more miles to the southeast. My return was portions of PCT and Blue Ridge Rd. Tired on the return, I did hitch a ride near Blue Ridge Campground back to my car at Inspiration Point (I am a little out of shape after not hiking consistently due to my weird work schedule, so I may have bitten off more than I can chew by doing both summits). I was physically drained but mentally enriched as usual after hiking." — brianpowell • Jun 18, 2016
