"I could not drive to the trailhead for Silver Peak due to the remaining snow on the forest roads, so I tried the Pacific Crest Trail from Snoqualmie Pass, south about 2.5 miles to a little pond. I climbed up to the top of Snoqualmie Summit (not to be confused with the more serious mountain of the same name, looming to the north), and Wild Side, two modest peaks in the ski area. Rather than go up the ski slope (easier), I took more or less the shortest route from one peak to the other, climbing up the back (west) side of Wildside. ... just that much wilder :-)" — markgarrett • May 8, 2017
