I did this peak on the return hike from Italian Peak. I ascended up the south ridge of the mountain and descended down the north ridge. The normal one way hike from the trailhead to the summit of Timber Peak is 1.2 miles. One mile on Trl 70 and about 2/10 mile up a user trail that follows the northern ridge to the summit.
