"June 28, 2022. Trail was muddy in spots from the snow melt. Still a few patches of snow on the trail below the tram and two large patches just below the true summit. No traction needed. Trail reroute across the boulder field from the slide was well marked. " — runningvegan • Jun 28, 2022
"Lazy start and I was wondering if I was wussing out sleeping in and taking tram. Snow was all the way down to parking lot - first sign! Then I had to post hole from 0.5km onward and after 8km of post holing it was clear that the right choice was made. In fact, the snow was almost too dicey for the final summit ridge. I was at times going thigh deep. The odd whumpf reminded me of the avy slopes to both sides. Had to au cheval the ridge at the top to avoid triggering something left or right. Almost bailed 50m from summit but then persevered. Super bluebird day. 4:45 hrs and made 4pm tram." — alexjoseph • Oct 29, 2016
"Was going to do Indian Ridge but due to blowing snow and fog we could barely see where we were going. Just did The Whistlers. There was still a lot of deep snow just to get to the Whistlers." — BertB • May 16, 2015
"Fog rolled in over us and a group of mountain goats. Only 2 other people bothered going all the way up while we were there once it started raining. The view was a bit obscured by cloud, but worth the climb." — Amira • Aug 15, 2013
"Double header day first summiting Whistler Mountain and then Indian Ridge. Gorgeous weather all day with beautiful high level clouds, sunny warm breezes and just a hint of haze in the air. Met a couple from Peace River on the way up and summited Indian Ridge with them" — Mountainman • Jul 20, 2013
"Met two people at Jasper Hostel who were keen to hike Whistlers with me. The lady I went with was very athletic and fast and there were a lot of mosquito's that Summer so we didn't stop for many breaks. Jasper hostel to the Sky train in 2.5 hours." — Cameron-the-Adventurer • Jul 11, 2012
"Walked to summit from the tramway. Burned out and still tired from completing an ascent of Cinquefoil the previous day I enjoyed a nice nap in the sun on the northeast ridge of the summit " — Mountainman • Jun 20, 2010
"28AUG04
TL;DR: Money pit tourist magnet, Dragged there by my Dad when I was 14, Mountains are awesome.
Hike! My Family? We took a Tram up to the Summit Push and basked in the company of 500 Asian tourists who didn't speak a lick of English, paying a small fortune for the pleasure. The most difficult part was when my Old Man caught me smoking outside the Gift Shop. The best part was when I stood atop a Mountain and decided to never stop standing on top of Mountains." — AskTheMountain • Aug 28, 2004
"Myself and 3 Army friends were on 2 weeks R&R whilst being based in BATUS. After hitting Edmonton and Calgary, we headed to Banff before going on to Jasper, our last stop before heading down to Vancouver on an epic road trip. Whilst there, we explored the trails and near by peaks of this beautiful area. Here we decided to take the tramway to the summit. The views did not disappoint." — HikingViking • Oct 3, 1990
