I climbed this peak many, many times when I was a kid. My Grandfather had a cabin & lots of land right below it & it was my playground growing up. Loved the big Cave up top too. I once walked into a den of baby copperheads up top, before my Grandma yanked me back. We counted over 30 of them. It was lucky it was morning & they were still cold. My Grandma once fell coming back down on loose rocks & wet leaves & banged her head. My cousin (maybe 14 at the time) had to drive her back to her house so we could have her Dad drive us to the ER for stitches. It was a very sad day when my Grandfather had to sell the house & land.
