We started out late on an overcast day but needed to squeeze out one last hike in our holiday with our 2 kids 4 and 2 years old. The first 2km are quite easy and on a paved path with dense forest on both sides. I then ran ahead to train for the Canadian Death Race which we were running the following weekend in Grande Cache. The next 2km is where you gain about 400m elevation over many switchbacks i ran to the summit took some photos and ran 1.5 km back to meet up with my wife and kids(as we weren't sure how far they would hike before tuckering out) but my 4 year old son was determined to reach the summit. And he did with less than 1km of piggy backing over 8km. The views are amazing from the summit but can be quite windy and cold so come prepared. We finished the round trip in 3 hours but could have explored some more if it wasn't so late.
