"Snow level approximately 4700 feet. Slushy snow on Inter Glacier from about 6000 to 8500 feet, firmer above that. Deeper-than-knee snow just below Steamboat Prow. Then descended to Camp Schurman, stayed over night, and hiked out early next morning. About 1000 feet of glissading on the way out." — mathiasricken • May 28, 2017

"Party of 6 made it to the summit of the prow. Myself and another continued on to Rainier but weather and a low elevation start on Inter Glacier doomed the attempt. Early July of '93 or '94. " — RonaldJames • Jul 1, 1993
