"Started from Mataelpino towards Maliciosa Baja to then climb La Maliciosa, stopped halfway up because of cold and wet conditions, part of the road is through piornos that were loaded with water making me soaked" — chuchofreeman • Dec 7, 2025
"I went for a bike ride around Las Navas, I biked to the base of El Cabezuelo and from there I hiked up to the top. The high point is a rock pile where you need to scramble up, nothing too hard." — nandorszotak • Aug 27, 2025
"Another fun area to play close to Madrid. 7 Picos how the name says it is a route where you can climb 7 peaks. They all like big rock piles, so you have to scramble to the top of them. I did them in reverse, starting with #7, which is the tallest. The only one I couldn’t climb is #4 which has a big boulder on top and an anchor for a 1-pitch rock climbing move. I jumped as high as I could to reach the top 😂…
The trail is very rocky; basically you are rock hopping the whole way and jog on the easier parts. On the way back I wanted to do a different route, one that is more runnable, but as usual, I chose one of those rarely used trails and I ended up getting into more scrambling and less running. Today my “compass” didn’t work too good, so I got lost plenty of times🙈, but that made it more adventurous.
Celebrated the end of the run with a pincho: café con leche y tortilla española, never disappoints.😄" — nandorszotak • Aug 20, 2025
