"I did this as part of a challenge for charity to climb the highest mountains in the nine counties of Ulster in three days. It was not enjoyable. Slieve Beagh has the highest point in Co. Monaghan however, the highest point on Slieve Beagh is in Co. Fermanagh. Slieve Beagh is basically an evavated blanket bog. the views are not great and the walk is a very gradual ascent. If you want to say you were at the highest point in Co. Monaghan give it a go. Otherwise there are many other much more enjoyable walks not too far away." — jim.mcmanus.9440 • Aug 19, 2011
