We started off on the Limietberg trail at the "Eerste Tol" on Bainskloof. From there you follow a jeeptrack that used to lead to the 'ghost house' (go read up on the ghost house of Bainskloof for some interesting stories along the way). The jeep track ends about 4km in, from where you will follow a single track. There is one river crossing along the way, which can be thigh deep if there was a lot of rain the days before your hike. Follow the singletrack through a helicopter landing spot as you reach the foot of the mountain and follow the trail up the kloof next to the waterfalls. There are a few pools in which you can swim at the waterfalls. The trail will thin out as you get to the neck of the mountain. There you should keep your eyes open for cairns and make your way to the ridge of Slanghoek and follow the ridge to the top of the mountain.
