A fascinating and exhilarating hike from a saddle to the summit that involved much more snow than expected. Hiked at least one mile each way in snow along the access road that was between 2"-12" deep without snowshoes. Hardly any snow at the summit nor along the gravel access road to the saddle. Several blowdowns created interesting maneuvers along the hike. Tried descending along the Peak Trail, but ran into much deeper snow (2+ feet in places) after about 0.4 mile and had to return to the access road route.
