This was the first time that I've done any climbing/hiking in the North Cascades. This trail is well maintained, and the views were spectacular. Even the view from the parking lot was breath-taking. Looking up at the switch-backs and the climb to come was a little daunting, but the blooming wildflowers were calling and the ferocious flies kept us moving. This is a must-see hike and is relatively safe for all ages. The scenery was more beautiful than I could have imagined and the local marmots whistling from the rocky outcroppings could be heard for miles. So cool!
