Couldn't think of a better place to hike on Easter weekend than Rabbit Peak, so I "hopped" to it. I parked outside of Monte Cristo Campground and picked up Forest Road 3N23. I followed 3N23 for 2 miles to an intersection. I turned left and followed this road (4N18) for 0.8 miles. I then turned right on a narrow use trail that climbed to the base of one of the power line towers above the road. From there, I could detect a use trail following the ridge all the way up to the summit. Nice short afternoon outing to check off another HPS peak.
