"Pleasant blacktop road to the point where there is a take-off road that goes to the summit. Unfortunately, some misguided hard-working individual cut down a large tree every 15' for the entire 3 miles all the way to the summit making the walk up a slog. That coupled with massive ditches and creeping vines make this a slow go. Beautiful nice ridge going east from summit for about a mile that hits massive blow-downs and then you have to go steep downhill to make it to the black-top again. Thurston high point but a hill I never want to do again." — castrode • Apr 5, 2021
"Gate was closed at junction of Pleasant Valley Rd and NF-74. Ran up the road to the turn off on forest road 075, which is tank-trapped. Couldn't really run from there due to the number of down trees and the trailing blackberry vines/trip wires. About a foot of snow on the roads on the north side of Quiemuth, so I wrapped around to the SW-ridge for easier footing. " — TynanRammGranberg • Feb 27, 2021
