"Started at 1880 feet. Summit said 2290. Departed sign at 9:35 reached summit at 9:50. Sunny 28 degrees and very breezy at the top. Departed summit at 10:00 finished hike at 10:22. Blue trail was short and steep. Warden's road made for an easy hike down.

"Another NH Fire Tower peak (my 10th) in the books on this less than stellar day: mostly cloudy, 30-40mph winds and cold. Followed the Monadnock-Sunapee Greenway Trail up and back since I couldn't find the start of either of the two trails down due to snow on the rocks at the top. Looked in vain for the summit marker, and no blueberries this time of year - will have to make a return trip. Nice views despite the weather." — SteveM_StickMan • Dec 28, 2020

"A quick accent to the top with a nice fire tower and a massive network of blueberry paths. We spent hours picking and then extended our hike to Hubbard hill which you can access by following white rectangle blazes after a short decent on the west side of Pitcher and back to the main "blueberry" dirt road that goes to the top of Hubbard hill for MORE bluberries! For a 5 mile loop filled with scenic views and many blueberries." — mikezilla • Aug 26, 2011

"The fourth & final Peak of the day on the greenway. 3.9 miles to the nearest shelter, 15.7 from the one that I camped, at the end of today's 25.2 mile hike. The new record for my longest day hike." — VonSelmer • Jul 18, 2011
