"Tackled this from the west, where there is parking for one car just before the bridge at the beginning of this track, signalled Monte Lupone, as per the photo. This works its way steadily up the valley, before veering off and re-joining it later. Our strategy was to continue up past the longitude of the top, and then traverse back below once the height of it had been reached. Found something of a path at this altitude, formed from a natural ledge in the hillside and it was mostly passable to the top, with only some snipping of branches required. The highpoint is only a small pimple on a ridge that continues to rise, but it is a rare, flat grassy area in an otherwise overgrown environment, so obviously as such forms a point of reference. Descended to the main track SE, but steeper than before, using the natural contours of the hill as paths. " — vygodski • May 3, 2025
