I take advantage of the morning to go to the monastery of Santa Ana in Jumilla and climb the mountain with the same name. The day is spring and some motorhomes are located in the recreational area. I use the botanical trail to climb, which is continuous and quite steep to the top. From here I see the Pico del Maestre and the city of Jumilla in the distance. I don't meet other hikers today, so I watch carefully where I step to avoid any silly falls. From the summit I see snowy peaks in the distance due to Storm Monica. I head a little later to the Maestre peak, which is lower but perhaps rockier and with fewer trees.
