"From a parking turnout on Main Divide Road (about 2 miles south of Ortega Highway), paragliders launch from the bluff above. A well defined use trail goes from the pullout and leaves the bluff behind. The trail climbs to a high point overlooking Lake Elsinore. A white pole stands next to the summit boulder with outstanding lake views below. Although my trio of hikes on the day were short, this one was clearly my favorite. I would even go as far to say that this is one of the more underrated hikes in the Santa Ana Mountains." — MikeTeeples • Dec 19, 2020
"After hiking Mt. Jurupa near Fontana, I still needed another hiking fix, and felt like going to the Santa Ana Mountains. After climbing the short hill of Peak 3448 across S. Main Divide from Elsinore Peak (3,575'), I returned north along S. Main Divide to a pull out near this peak. It is short, but often steep pull up a use trail to this peak. It gains 300 feet over less than a half mile, but it goes really quickly. The summit has a small white pole (maybe at a time or another had a flag on it (???)). The views are great here, especially with Lake Elsinore nearly 2,000 feet below, yet looking so close that you could almost dive down into it for a swim LOL!!!! Round trip is about .95 miles with 300' gain. It was a fun little hike! Afterwards, I went on a drive to see Blue Jay Campground in the snow!! More fun!! I also attached that video here as well!" — brianpowell • Dec 29, 2019
