"Beautiful day for a hike! Ample parking in a gravel lot. It is part of Orono’s Caribou Bog Conservation Area, which is free and open to the public. The trails were in excellent condition. They also had a wide range of surfaces—gravel roads, dirt trails, crushed stone, exposed rock, and even sand (which seemed to be in places that might otherwise be wet and muddy.) Maps are posted at trail intersections (also available online). Path to the summit was mostly easy, but got much steeper as one started going up the hill. The summit is marked with a sign and has a wooden bench. There was a small opening through the trees looking west at the summit, but otherwise not that much of a view (probably one could see more in winter). A fun climb!" — Badgerinmaine • Sep 15, 2024
