I found my way up to the North Peak of Mount Si. This peak is the one with the elevation marking on all the topo maps, though in reality it is not higher than the Mount Si Haystack, slightly to the south. I hiked up the Mount Teneriffe trail, and then on the old forest roads that are indicated on the USGS topo maps, to the north and down to about 3300 ft. From there, south and up to the North Peak. There is an area of small, dense Doug Fir trees around 3400 ft. To avoid them, it's best to circle around on the road until you are due north of the peak, then cut south up the modest slope. The last 500 vertical feet or so are on a 45 degree slope, which is fine if the snow is good, which it was.
