After hiking up to Three Isle Lake from Forks and getting setup, we ascended above the Three Isle Lake campground through some light bushwhacking to the SW slopes of what I believe is named Three Isle Mountain. Traversed through some loose scree around to the south slopes of Kane's ascent. Dogged it up to the summit where I met some other scramblers who beat me to the first ascent of Putnik for the year by only a few minutes. Weather was pretty cold and blustery. Took in the view of Northover Ridge which we had planned to cross, but balked at the amount of snow still present. Admired the sparsely filled logbook that had been there since 1987, including Kane and Nugara's names, amongst others. Descended quickly the same way back to the lake due to the large amount of scree.
