"Solo climb up Pershing in fall. The weather was still great and the scramble was fun. The trail is flagged really well all the way into the gully, where the route is pretty straight forward from there. The scramble up to the ridge was a solid class 3 and on the ridge there is a spicy traverse to the summit. I decided to head down to scramble middle as well. Not worth the effort really but the day was nice and I was feeling good. This mountain looks so cool heading up towards Stone so I had wanted to tag it for a bit." — MatthewWinterberg • Oct 5, 2022
"Trillium*
Linkup of Washington, Pershing, and Ellinor in a day.
With Scott Y. Special thanks to Myles for many days of effort making this route work out. 10k of vert in 12 miles in 17hrs. What a ton of work but the remoteness and knife edge ridges and multiple rappels made this worth it. FKT/OKT" — castrode • Aug 13, 2022
"Route scouting. Hikers trail on Pershing is pretty descent. Starts just after one crosses Jefferson creek. Can actually walk down from the summit on the west side of Mt Pershing to go to Middle and North Pershing. Didn't have enough time to do North Pershing however. Do NOT bushwhack down Jefferson creek. Prolly the worst epic bushwhack I’ve done. Rappelling off of devils club into more devils club. Swamps, massive boulders, too numerous to count slide alder and slide vine maple. Awful.
First pic is middle Pershing
Second is the Mt Pershing traverse
Third is North Pershing" — castrode • Aug 4, 2021
