Mark, Bert and I left Calgary at 4:30 A.M. and drove to the DTC. The lower part of the trail was mostly dry other than the bit of moisture from the previous rain. It was an overcast day. Most of the ascent was a rugged hike up the ridge with some decent views despite the cloudy weather. Some placid bighorn ewes that weren't bothered by us nor aggressive were hanging out in one of the meadows by the cliffs. We found some wet snow higher up which made for slower going at the crux and on the rock scrambling. Summit views were good! We came down a more gentle meadowy slope on the return, which brought us further up the creek bed and was easier on the old knees. There was flagging for it.
