Left camp around 8 and went around the north end of upper Lena lake. I should have circled the lake from the other side to avoid a tricky and unnecessary down climb to the valley to start the accent. Once in the gully I found snow patches and solid rock all the way up to the ridge. The ridge was a super fun class 3 scramble that had a bit of a knife edge to it. Milk Lake looks awesome and would be worth a trip of it's own. I made it up to a false summit where I dropped off the ridge a bit to avoid difficult climbing. The last scramble up the gully was enjoyable and made it to the top within 2 hours. Found a 19 year, 1 day old register and started to enjoy my beverage when the skeeters came back in full force. Didn't get to fully soak in the views but it was a fun climb. After making my way down I took an hour siesta and stumbled the 7.5 miles back out. Aside from the bugs it was a great weekend.
