These two peaks were pretty low on my priority list, but the weather was pretty crappy & I needed to get out, so decided on these because they are short & quick. There is much better stuff to do in the Lake Mead area! Anyway, I parked in the wash & headed up Mine View Peak first. There is no real reason to climb this "peak" unless you are in the area & want some extra exercise. Next, I headed over to Polytick & went up a gully on the WSW side, then I scrambled up the block on top & across the narrow ridge. The ridge is very narrow in places & it was extremely windy up there. It was pushing me around. I left my pack on a wider section & just quickly went to the summit & back. Didn't even look for a register. Polytick has nice views toward Bowl of Fire.
