Continuation of hike from the Varlaam. We took an old path that descended into the valley west of the Varlaam. At a junction we continued upwards to rejoin the access road where it terminated at the Grand Meteoron Monastery. After touring the monastery we descended by this same valley back to the minibus for lunch in a restaurant in Kastraki. KE Adventure Travel guided walk. Sunny, hot and dry.
