This completed my Clark County P2K Challenge! Was camping with LVMC at Gold Butte National Monument for the weekend. Jumbo Peak was Sunday's destination. Harlan had done this peak multiple times before (including the day before we went up there). He had a toprope set up for the technical climb and a rappel station set up as well. The hike to the base of the summit block was pretty straightforward, then we started the twisting & turning that eventually led to the big crack. We climbed/stemmed up the crack to a chockstone, which required an awkward move to get off of. Once there, we ascended a lichen-covered 5.3 climb to the summit. This could have been very quick, but we had some in our group that were unnerved by the big exposure and weren't used to some of the moves required to ascend & descend. Everyone got down safely. From there, I peeled off from the group & bagged Packard Peak as well.
