"As part of a 32hr 80km hike of the Langevegur Trail with Skogar to Thorsmork bonus on day 1. Arrived 9pm on Wed night, fresh after 72 hrs out of a week long mountaineering trip in Krygystan, slept in rental car and drove to trailhead Thursday morning. Hit the trail in the crowds of tourists at 11am. Banged off 39km day 1 in 12 hrs and 1000m ascent and descent over the pass in cold rain and fog and walking in snow. Next day woke to sunshine and banged the last 40km again largely uphill another 1000m with 99% of the people going the other direction before descending into the final camp with hot spring!" — alexjoseph • Aug 3, 2017
"During our trip to Iceland. We didn't plan any hiking during this trip, but did hike this mountain in order to have dinner high above Reynisfjara beach, which we had explored earlier in the day. Beautiful secluded mountain top to have a late dinner on." — LGH-Tom • Jul 9, 2017
"Hiked with Tom. We hiked this mountain first to see if the car could make it to the top of the sketchy road, so we could have dinner at the summit. After reaching the summit we decided the car could make it and we drove the sketchy road past the summit and over to a ledge that overlooked the reynisfjara black sand beach. This dinner was one of the best nights of the trip with beautiful views of the beach, ocean, spires, and surrounded by sheep." — Kim-Stilson • Jul 9, 2017
