"Went with a group of friends to hike Dorset. We parked to the south and came up the ATV trail to the col, then upwards to Dorset. Saw the doorknob tree this time. I missed it last time. Couldn't open the summit canister. Onwards to Equinox. " — newenglandwarrior • Jan 14, 2023
"First day of my trip to get some NEHH. Not sure why peakery isn't recognizing my GPX track for this hike. Got started early and felt really good during the hike. Needed to start training for my upcoming trip to Montana. Hit the summit proper, which still has a canister and summit log, then headed over to the old tower site. Back to the car in only a couple hours. Didn't see another person all day. " — LGH-Tom • Jun 24, 2021
"After being in the northern part of the state, I drove to the southern part of the state. No snow at low elevation. Packed out snow at higher elevation. Tagged the summit but missed the door knob tree. Drove back to Portsmouth before the storm." — newenglandwarrior • Dec 31, 2018
"Beautiful last day of spring. The trail was not as difficult to follow as I had anticipate. Good trail reports from previous hikers were very helpful. A very easy 100 Highest! 69 down 31 to go." — goshen-bagger • Jun 20, 2015
"Moderate hike up on a beautiful. Minimal snow, some ice. Slightly steep at points, but not terribly exhausting. Visited south peak with the old fire tower and grill, then visited north peak with the remains of the cabin and the old pitchers. This hike does not have a set trail, but rather a series of herd paths, snowmobile trails and logging roads." — MorganJKelley • Feb 5, 2013
"Hiked to the summit via the ATV path / road / trail, then came down using Gulf Canyon after hitting the West Peak and the Metawee, finding our way back to the trail after the canyon became a stream again, then back to the parking lot at Emerald Lake State park" — ThunderTundra • May 27, 2012
"Hard crusty snow made for a speedy ascent up the unrelentingly steep climb to the south summit. Then the higher north summit was a short jaunt through steep snow. A lot of vert and better in the winter given the limited views. One of New England's 100 Highest peaks" — scott • Jan 3, 2011
