"Started on the Schiff Path and hiked up Dorr Mountain. Then hiked down and summited Cadillac Mountain. Continued on Cadillac South Ridge Trail bagging Dike Peak and Eagles Crag back to my campsite at Blackwoods campground. Distance was 7.1 miles with 1,649 feet of elevation gain." — Zardoz • Sep 9, 2022
"After Molly and I hiked Bar Island, we started doing some red-lining of the park. We parked at Sieur De Mont and hiked towards the Tarn. We then looped south of Dorr Mtn and up over Cadillac South Ridge. We kept going and went up the SE side of Pemetic Mtn and reached the summit. It was an overcast day. We then went off the NE side of Pemetic and up the NW Trail of Cadillac. That was a steep trail. We reached the summit of Cadillac, then headed over to Dorr. By the time we reached Dorr, some clouds had moved in and we were socked in. We came down the Emory Path back to the car. " — newenglandwarrior • May 20, 2022

"Had such a great time hiking this and Cadillac a few weeks before that I dragged my family up to hike the Gorge Trail with me. Unfortunately for them, everything was dried out after 2 weeks with no rain, so they didn't get to really experience what a cool trail it truly is. I did get the boys and dog to the summit of Dorr though. The Gorge is quite a Stairmaster... even without running water, still a nice hike." — mikewilliamsjr • May 31, 2020

"Full day of hiking in Acadia. Local attempts at "hiking" definitely did not prepare me to do some real climbing. This hike was amazing in every way, even though my body was not physically prepared. It has been since last September when I attempted Katahdin with my son that my legs have done any real work. My knees were dying near the end. It really kicked the crap out of me. I was supposed to exit back over Kebo on the way out, but couldn't see myself doing it without being in some serious pain, so I navigated myself an easier way out that ended up taking me almost right back to my car. Kebo started the day, very easy and quick. Crossed over to Gorge Path, which was simply amazing. Got to the intersection above the gorge and decided to pull myself up over the boulders to summit Cadillac, something I've never done on foot. Got to the top and realized my legs were definitely feeling the rust. Went back down to the intersection and talked myself into summitting Dorr, even though I wasn't feeling it. After getting to the top of that, decided to go back down the North Ridge Trail, which probably ended up being harder than back down the gorge. The open ledges were slippery in many places..." — mikewilliamsjr • May 17, 2020
"First peak of the day, heading over to Cadillac. Spent about 40 min traveling .5 miles, spying a barred owl and checking out the ecosystem of the Tairn. Went up the Ladder Tr because of the 3 ladders. Summit of Dorr is nice. " — newenglandwarrior • Aug 9, 2016

"A great day for a hike. 3 Good friends and one great dog. The weather was cold, windy and sunny. Yep that sounds like Maine. Parked at the Notch Trail parking and walked the loop road to the Kebo Mountain trail head. Hiked up Kebo then on to Dorr Mt via the Northridge trail. Hiked down to the Notch and took the Notch trail back to the car. We didn't met a soul on the Kebo/North ridge Trails, but the Notch Trail was group after group of hikers. " — bwright • May 23, 2015

"The Gorge Path is under construction, but open on weekends. I went on a Saturday. A lot of the equipment was still on the path and answered a lot of my questions on how they could rearrange such huge heavy rocks so deep into the woods. Anyway, I do like this hike as it follows a riverbed, but not much to look at until you're at the top!" — erinjordon • Sep 20, 2014

"Hiked via the Kebo Mt trail & the Dorr North Ridge trail to Dorr. From Dorr we took the Cadillac Dorr Connector to the top
of Cadillac. We returned by the Gorge trail. Great ocean views from the top, but too many people for our blood. The hike
back through the gorge reminded me of a scene from a Hobbit movie." — billsussdorff • Jun 3, 2014
