"Easy loop from home hitting the top of Diamond via the Crystal Ridge ski slope. Dropped down to the TRT then over to Peak 8676 via a 10 minute whack. Back to Diamond for a descent down the double black diamond of Solitude Canyon. Still some patches of snow lingering on the TRT. Peak 8676 had an open summit so no bouldering required to reach the highest point." — Nimblefoot • May 8, 2026
"An afternoon climb using the Incline Flume trail and Crystal Ridge ski slope. Still some lingering snow on top but that may change tomorrow with another storm coming in. Straight down to the base lodge then a short road walk back home. A 10 mile loop." — Nimblefoot • Apr 20, 2026
"Now that Diamond Peak has closed for the season yesterday, after the Downhill Dummy event, I figured I could try doing a loop from our house. Over to the Tunnel Creek road to access the Incline Flume trail to head over to the ski area. Easy whack up to the Crystal Ridge ski slope which I took up to the summit. Still some broad but thin snow fields hanging on but quickly disappearing with the unseasonably warm temps. Descended straight down to the base lodge then down the road for a one-hour stroll from peak summit to the house. Nice 9.6 mile workout." — Nimblefoot • Mar 30, 2026
"Hiked a wonderful section of the TRT from Tahoe Meadows boardwalk to Tunnel Creek road. My original intention was to just to get to Diamond Peak and head back but in my haste I ended up at the road for a WTF moment. On my way back popped up the use path to tag the peak and get another view. Totally dry trail and plenty of outstanding views, I will re-do it some day and get more of the peaks along the way. Had the trail to myself most of the day." — Nimblefoot • Jul 19, 2023
