What a fun day! We met at 7am & drove up from Vegas. We were on the trail not too long after 9am. We followed the wash most of the way up before intersecting the (steep!) trail that goes up the east slope. We made it to the summit in around 2.5 hours and had perfect, warm conditions up there to take in the terrific views and enjoy lunch. We had heard good things about Little Corkscrew Peak, so we descended a different way along the ridge towards our second destination. When we hit the low saddle between them, I was a bit intimidated. I decided to scout around the right side of the peak and made it to the top of the ridge. I hit the highest point on the south end of the ridge, but there was another point to the north that looked slightly higher. The ridge was way to serrated & knife-edged to traverse, so I went back down and started looking at some other options on the north and east sides. After a few sketchy climbs, I found myself at the top of the ridge, but a bit too far north. I carefully down climbed and finally found a lass 3 route that took me up to the summit. The southern point looked higher now, but this is the spot that people said was the peak, so I felt good. I hit both. By this time, everyone but Barb & Judy had started down. Barb & Judy had checked out the other highpoint and were now back at the saddle. I waited at the summit while they made their way up. From there, we descended back down and hit a path that we followed down to the wash. We met everyone else there and mostly hiked out together.
