"Summited Chesley Mt. via a cell tower road off of Meetinghouse Rd. The sign says hikers are welcome. Short nice hike if you live near Rochester or Farmington. Did not find the American flag which made me sad, but I did not complete the full loop at the top since I was pressed for time. The summit does not have much of a view but views are possible on some of the outer ledges. No water for the dog folk on this hike. " — FL2NH • Jul 29, 2020

"After hiking the Blue Job Mountains I was looking for another interesting local hike that I haven't done yet. Took me awhile to find the trailhead but it was worth the effort. I ended up doing the loop and it only takes about 45 minutes but I hung out at the summit to take in the views and pick some blueberries." — StoneMan • Jul 5, 2015

"We routinely hike Chesley mountain. It is a nice short hike, perfect for a before or after work trek: whenever you don't have much time. Easy climb for kids and great for beginners! The trails are well marked, mostly orange, some blue, some reflective stamps on trees. Deer, grouse, porcupine, fox, coyote have been seen (and moose tracks), as well as the usual chipmunks/squirrels. Parking near the gate on Meetinghouse Hill road. Follow the access road to the sand pit, then up the right side to the trail opening marked with orange. Not too far down the trail it splits. Taking the right is the shorter/steeper trail, straight is longer more gradual. They connect at the top, for a good loop that takes 45 minutes or longer, depending... Land owner generously allows hiking and hunting, so wear orange if it is that season! Dog owners welcome, just please, please, please pick up after them! (At least move it well off trail-nothing worse than ds on your hiking boots!) " — talrcat • Apr 16, 2014
