"By my standard route, up on the steep blue/purple trail. Sun and cloud, with more cloud later on a strong cold westerly. Rain held off. Large party of Rambles on the summit." — marktrengove2 • Feb 2, 2023
"28:49 to the top. 320m of ascent in total. walking.
At 2:50pm I met a young lady with a dog at the top. It was cold with a biting wind, and she was exhausted, after descending twice, in the right direction but must have gone off course, having forgotten the exact location of her start point and car. Her phone had less than 5% charge (20 minutes at best) and I could not recognise her description of where she had left the car, but it must have been somewhere near Cilcain. With no phone, darkness approaching and not a sole about, I suggested I would cut my hike short, and she could accompany me back to my car in the bottom carpark, then I would drive her on to her car. She was very grateful, and very pleased to finally see her car. The dog was oblivious.
But the moral of the story is, even an easy mountain like Moel Famau, that we all take for granted, can be potentially dangerous. " — JohnJones • Jan 9, 2023

"From the lane to Bwlch Penbarra, via the Clwyd Forest and hollow blue trail to the summit. Down by the Offa's Dyke Path. My standard route. Busy, despite the poor weather - gale force south-westerly, with incoming rain. Solo.
My 500th Ascent of Moel Fama, and entry to Level I of the Poly-baggers' Hall of Fame (see at https://sites.google.com/view/baggerswithoutborders/home/polybaggers-register-hall-of-fame). An approximate total of 3,400km, with 130km of ascent over the years." — marktrengove2 • Dec 27, 2022

"By my standard route, by the zig-zags, with ALT and TST. Early morning ascent to avoid the Boxing Day crowds, but still busy. Fine sunny winter day, with light cold SW wind. Frosty paths. ALT: 27 ascents." — marktrengove2 • Dec 26, 2022

"By my standard route. Winter conditions above 300m. Sun at first, then a snow-shower and hill-fog, then clearing to broken cloud. First snow of the year on the Bryniau Clwyd. Some lying snow, especially on the paths, so used micro-spikes. Left leg behaved itself. Heard a red grouse." — marktrengove2 • Dec 9, 2022
