"Busy day on the mountain. Crossed paths with 5 separate parties on the ascent/descent. Snow still over a foot deep in areas on the east side. Nice opening day hike of 2018." — zachmitch • Mar 11, 2018
"Mountain 2 of 3 this hike.
Started at the public pull-off down the road from Bear Creek Lodge (parking is not free @ BCL) at the edge of the park. Started at the base of trail 140 >> Saddle Junction >> 130 >> Day Mountain >> 130/160 >> Mt. Kit Carson >> 160 >> Saddle Junction >> 140 >> Mt Spokane >> 140 >> car.
On trail time was about 6 hours. There were no mountain bikes either way. Saw only one other hiker while descending from Mt. Kit Carson. Estimate hike to be about 14-15 miles and 3500ish feet of gain." — zachmitch • Jul 25, 2017

"Trails much improved since my last visit...they've even re-paved sections of the approach road (Lincoln). Now the ascent/descent is much less steep than before. Great spot for trail running" — zachmitch • Jul 19, 2017
"Trip to Spokane had me wanting to summit a peak or two on my training runs. While I had eyes on Mt Spokane, the 94" of snow at the summit scared me away. I settled for a run up Antoine Peak. Twice actually, as I started at the West Trailhead, summited, descended to the East Trailhead, and then summited again. Beautiful day, and nice to get above the fog laying in Spokane Valley. Still a good bit of snow on the north facing slopes, but it was early enough that I was able to run on top of it. Only 25 minutes outside of Spokane, it was a great spot for some hilly trail running!" — rsnipes • Mar 31, 2017
