The Tupper Lake Triad peak challenge includes 3 "family-friendly" mountains surrounding Tupper Lake within Adirondack Park in upstate New York. All 3 summits have great views, 1 from a firetower. "Hiked Goodman on my way home from a weekend trip to Canton. Nice easy hike, paved for first 3/4 mile, and then an easy ascent with no steep pitches to the summit. Nice view of Coney Mountain and other nearby peaks." — elimihuta • Sep 22, 2024

"Enjoyed the company of a friend today on our first stop in the 3 peaks that combined make up the Tupper Lake Triad. We left the trailhead at 9:04 on a bluebird summer day. A quick 30 minute hike to the summit revealed an awesome 360 degree view. Took a few pics and headed down to make the short drive up the road to Goodman Mtn, the second stop on our TLT one day challenge. " — garyogden • Aug 2, 2023

"Been about 7 years since I hiked the TLT - was invited by my friendneighbor to go out on a nice day and it was certainly beautiful weather! Warmer than expected, and way more families and dogs on the trails than anticipated for a Wednesday, but everyone was polite and respectful and none of the three trails or summits felt too crowded.
Small parking area, we parked on the side of the road. Pleasant trail here on Coney, not much for mud & the trail was nicely maintained. Bugs were nearly nonexistent, and the climb was very gradual. Oddly at the top there was quite a lot rotting rose petals scattered around which I haven’t seen before. A 360 degree view on something so small isn’t super common, I imagine this is a nice one for foliage. After this, headed to Goodman. " — kellieirene • Aug 2, 2023

Larger parking area here than at Coney. I forgot in all the years it’s been that the first 0.75mi is a paved wheelchair accessible trail which is uncommon and very nice. It created a lovely tree tunnel. Following that, the trail meandered up and over the shoulder before circling to the summit, similar to Coney. Again, not much for mud or bugs, and a pleasant gradual gain. The summit here was smaller to share with others but we found a spot to sit and enjoy the view. Following this, headed to Arab. Third peak of the day with a nice large parking area. Of the three, this trail headed uphill right away. Not much for mud, but we did encounter some deer flies here. We were pleased to discover a beautiful bench on an overlook spot to sit while we had the summit to ourselves after climbing the tower. Considering I had been here twice before I was very surprised as it did not look new but I hadn’t seen it before. Gorgeous views, cab was unlocked, all windows in tact, nearly no graffiti in it. Also no map table, womp womp. It’s clear the club that maintains this trail and tower area care about their work - the small ladders and planks in the woods were in good condition and we also encountered what appeared to be a newly cut stone staircase near the summit - a lot of work gets put in here! Overall, a lovely day with great company. " — kellieirene • Aug 2, 2023
