Climb the highest points in every county in Ireland. This popular challenge includes the highest points in each of the traditional 32 Irish counties. A few notes:
• Includes only 27 peaks because 5 of the peaks are the highest in two counties.
• The highpoints in 3 counties have minimal to no prominence (Letrim, Roscommon, and Monaghan) but are included for the sake of tradition

"Extremely Boggy , Fairly Strenuous & Rocky . Route is easy to follow as you just follow the county border wall all the way to the top . Low visibilty & poor weather obstructed view throughout . Nice active hike enjoyed the physical aspect." — Mark-Mountain-Sheehan • Dec 31, 2022
"Parked at the start of the aerial access road at IO 14130 14174. Took the zig-zag road up to the aerial compound and trig point in summit beyond. Return by outward route. With AT and JT. Sunny, but cold NE wind." — marktrengove2 • Aug 30, 2022
"This is the second time I climbed Mweelrea. We did the whole horseshoe starting from and finishing in Delphi. The visibility was poor most of the time but by the time we climbed Mweelrea we finally got the views. To me this is one of the most beautiful hikes in Ireland. " — hannahaapio • Jun 19, 2022
"Parked at the Nine Stones car park (IS 81709 54613) and took the aerial access road (tarmac) all the way up, as the road was closed to vehicles. Visited the trig in a ruined granite mound before descending by my outward route. Solo.
Dull and cloudy, with hill-fog above 400m." — marktrengove2 • Oct 12, 2021
"Parked in the car park at Vee Gap (IS 03061 10021), crossed the road, and took the eroded path up by the dike, very steep in places. This did not ease to near the summit cairn on Sugarloaf Hill. After visiting the summit I followed the path SSW to a wide col, then ascending to the SW top of Knockmoylan. A short diversion NE brought me to the main summit. Descending to a col, I picked up the path around the corrie rim, and up to the trig point on the summit of Knockmealdown. I then retraced my route back to the col below Sugarloaf Hill. I followed a boggy track down through the peat, eroded down to the rock in places, to join another north that eventually joined the path down by the dike to the road. Solo.
Hazy sunshine, but with a brisk cold SW wind." — marktrengove2 • Oct 11, 2021
