"Two more crater lake p300s , one of them a p1500. One of them is an unnamed peak not on here, but on listsofjohn as 6926(peakbagger is weird it shows up on my mobile version but not desktop version or if I try to search for it.) Union has trail all the way up, 6926 has a light off trail traverse up a small hill to reach the summit , which is a small meadow. 11/28 p300 for crater lake, from what I’ve scoped out it seems like there is only one of these that is going to be a real pain in the ass .
Some PCTers wanted a ride up to the rim, I felt bad when we left the lot and saw the line of cars well onto the 62 trying to get into the park. I dropped them off at mazama and headed north to avoid crowds
I named 6926 “skeeter hill” as there was some nuclear skeeters after getting off the PCT in that area" — joshortman • Jul 28, 2023
"Our first hike at Crater Lake National Park. Not that difficult of a hike. Great views from the summit but not the greatest of Crater Lake due to a ridgeline blocking part of the view. Unable to access the fire tower due to lack of stairs. " — newenglandwarrior • Jul 24, 2023
"Up to Garfield in 27 minutes . Down to dyer through the meadow , dyer has a very nice summit block that is about 40-50ft of nice class 3 scrambling . Going to applegate is easy, dyar rock is definitely the highlight of this peak link up " — joshortman • Jul 15, 2023
"Great easy hike to the fire lookout. Views a bit hazy due to the fires in CA, but still outstanding across Crater Lake and further north to Thielson. Complete TR: https://TheMtsAreCalling.com/scott" — Christopher • Sep 6, 2020
"Here is some footage of my daughter and I on our two-night visit to Crater Lake National Park in Oregon, USA. Our base camp for this adventure was Mazama campground which is operated by a national park concessionaire. It's a well-run camp and all the details are listed in their website.
The highlights of the trip included summitting 8,648' Mt. Scott, 8,051 Garfield Peak and all the scenery in between. The campground is in the NP but located several miles south and about 1,000 below the lake rim.
