"The Breck 10", also known as the Tenmile Traverse, this challenge brings you to 10 peaks along the crest of the Tenmile Range west of Breckenridge, Colorado. Extends from Frisco in the north to Peak 10 above Breckenridge in the south. Some peaks require solid routefinding to keep the scrambling to Class 3. All told it's about 7500 ft of vertical and 15 miles. A stout 1-day objective or build up to it by completing the Breck 5 Challenge first.

"First time skiing at Breckenridge. Got in almost 20k of vert. Took Imperial Super Chair up to the top of Peak 8 at 13,000’ then booted it up on top to the ridge to Zoot Chute." — wiweasel • Mar 22, 2024
"9/24/23: #7 and final summit of the Tenmile Traverse Part Deux. This project, originating at the beginning of the year, culminated with amazing and dramatic views of the Tenmile Centennials yet to come, including Quandary. Along the way, some of the most striking ridge-hike views and some pretty decent scrambling to boot! This was a lot of fun, even having to finish solo, and felt like a nice accomplishment. After scoping out future routes for Crystal Peak and Father Dyer, I headed down Peak 10 Rd where LWW was waiting with the Taco. Total: (11.6/4780)" — LoneWolf • Sep 24, 2023
"9/16/23: Tenmile Traverse summit #5. This is an enjoyable, though mostly uninspiring, ridge scramble on decent enough rock for the first two-thirds or so traverse. Then there’s an interesting down climb available before you get to the “Dragon”. Jackson and I scoped this final section of the ridge out for a while and then decided to try to go around the “neck” and then up, traversing along some ledges in the middle sections towards the three small pinnacles. After some very airy crab walks around noses and walls we gained the crest and found ourselves just about topped out AND cliffed out. Not knowing what was on the downside climb of the final obstacle and not even being very sure about a return back down from the top if necessary, we turned around and called the crux a day. "9/16/23: Tenmile Traverse summit #3. Approaching the north ridge it appears that there are scrambling opportunities but the trail keeps everything to a C2 type scamper. Gore Range and Lake Dillon views really start to open up quickly. A very fun peak in its own right." — LoneWolf • Sep 16, 2023
"9/16/23: Tenmile Traverse summit #4. Even more tame than it looks from Peak 1. Still mostly at least a social trail but I was able to find a couple Class 3 moves by staying on the ridge crest on the climb. The summit gave us the first clear views of how much snow had fallen overnight on the high peak group to the south which looked mythical. We also got our first glimpse and a beginning idea of the scramble to come. This is definitely a different looking ridge than the ones this far!" — LoneWolf • Sep 16, 2023
